John Comes to Visit...

We had a lovely visit from John on Friday night.  He came down Friday and left on Saturday afternoon to go to Phillip Island with some mates.  The kids had a great time, Pop took them shopping to get new spiderman activity books (a BIG hit!), then to McDonalds for a play and some junk food!  While he was here on Friday night he also showed them some new stretches they can do to keep their backs in tip top shape.  Lachlan was a bit little for the choreography, but the other two thought it was great!

Jack's Starting School Certificate

I attended school assembly today to watch Jack receive his Starting School Certificate.  He had to stand up in front of the whole school and receive his certficate from the principal.  I was a very proud mum.

Mum's Birthday

My wonderful Mum had her birthday on the weekend which instigated a family birthday party hosted by Adam and Kate.  The Paella cooked by Kate was fabulous, and I had a crack at a Jamie Oliver concoction 'Baked Ricotta and Marscapone Tart with Chocolate and Orange'. We had a great night, and finally departed at 9pm because the adults were tired.  All the kids were having a ball.  I'm LOVING the kids getting older!!

The School Boy Gang

We have had our first 'Fish and Chip' catch up with the Mothers Group families.  We have to have an evening event because of all our eldest going off to school and unable to see each other during the weekdays.

It was a great night with all the school boys posing for a photo in their school uniforms.

After the fish and chips, all the families went home, and Clay and Levi (Jack and Cooper's best friends) stayed for a sleepover night.  Needless to say, very little sleeping actually occurred and we have some very tired boys today!!

School Begins

On Thursday, Jack started school.  I can't quite believe that I am now a mother of a school boy!!

Jack handled it really well (while I was really nervous as if it was my first day at school!!).  He waltzed into the classroom, sat down at an activity and was fully involved before I had time to walk out the door.

Kinder Begins.

On Wednesday, Cooper had his first day at Kinder, where he met his teacher and had a play while I stayed with him.  He was initially shy, but had completed every activity in the room and was joking with the teaching assistant by the time we left an hour later.  I think he is going to be fine!!
